Healthy holiday gift guide

There’s no better gift to a love one than one that supports their health. Here are some of my favorite products that make great gifts for the health enthusiast in your life.

1. Rechargeable Hand Warmers

I tell everyone I know about these. My daughters spend several hours ice skating each week, which means I spend several hours freezing at the ice rink. Rechargeable hand warmers are always in my pockets, keeping me fully toasty and warm. I also have a heated vest and find the hand warmers do infinitely better at keeping me warm, especially on cold winter walks. Perfect for anyone who spends time outdoors, they can help prevent stiffness and improve dexterity in colder temperatures. I even got a pair for a relative who has Raynaud's Syndrome and constant cold hands. Bonus: they’re reusable, reducing waste compared to disposable alternatives!

2. Sunrise Alarm Clock

Wake up feeling refreshed with a sunrise alarm clock that mimics the natural rise of the sun. Gradual light exposure in the morning supports your circadian rhythm, improves mood, and makes waking up less stressful—especially on dark winter mornings. Most mornings, I wake up 5-10 minutes before my alarm thanks to this gentle wake-up nudge.

3. Weighted Vest

Take your walks, workouts, or even household chores to the next level with a weighted vest. It’s a simple way to increase strength and bone density while engaging your core. I love getting my heart rate up even more when I take my dog for a walk wearing one of these. Aim for a weight that is 5-10% of your body weight.

4. Weighted Jump Rope

Combine cardio and strength training with a weighted jump rope. It’s an efficient way to improve heart health, build upper body strength, and torch calories—all while being compact and easy to store. Jump rope is one of my favorite hobbies and warming up with a 1lb rope is a great way to get a full-body muscle burn. Bonus: jump rope is great for building bone density and moving lymph. So many benefits of using one of the most portable workout tools around!

5. Blue Light Blocking Glasses

Protect your eyes and support better sleep with (orange or red) blue light-blocking glasses. They help minimize the disruption of melatonin production, especially when worn after sunset, making them an ideal gift for anyone working late or winding down in front of a screen, or really anyone who wants better sleep. These work like magic for me. I put them on when getting ready for bed and can barely keep my eyes open after reading a few pages on my Kindle! I’ve had less interrupted sleep since wearing them nightly.

6. Mason Jar Filter

Tea lovers will adore this mason jar accessory for brewing loose leaf tea without any bags or filters. Herbal teas, especially antioxidant-rich varieties, can support relaxation, digestion, and hydration—making this a functional and practical gift. Just put loose tea leaves and water in the mason jar, screw the top onto the wide-mouth jar, and pour!

7. Broccoli Sprouts Kit

Help your loved ones grow their own superfood with a broccoli sprouts kit, and save lots of money overall (broccoli sprouts are wildly expensive in the grocery store!). Broccoli sprouts are rich in sulforaphane, a powerful compound that supports detoxification and cellular health. It’s an easy way to add a nutritional boost to meals! Admittedly, my husband is the broccoli sprout farmer in our family, but as a result we have fresh broccoli sprouts that I regularly add to my eggs or salads.

This holiday season, give the gift of health, wellness, and self-care to others (and hopefully even yourself!).
